The proposal to increase the number of Senedd
Members would significantly increase the cost of running Wales,
since each new member would also require staff and office space. So
presumably we tax payers would all have to pay higher taxes or WAG
departmental budgets would have to be cut. You cannot seriously be
thinking there is any department of Welsh Government that can
operate with less money - you are already guilty of underfunding
(but it is always someone else’s fault of course).
Such a fundamental decision must be the subject of a referendum,
but you will be too afraid of doing that since it is certain to be
rejected by the majority. We need fewer, more competent
politicians, not more.
